Kim Faenza
Kim is director of communications and marketing at United Way of North Central Florida in Gainesville. She earned a bachelor’s degree in special education and taught middle school for two years before going back to school to earn a master’s degree in tourism research from UF. After interning at Walt Disney World, she was hired to work as a market research analyst. Her PR career started with Disney Cruise Line where she worked as internal communications manager. After eight years, Kim and her husband returned to Gainesville. Prior to joining the staff at United Way of North Central Florida in September she worked at Shands as communications coordinator.
“My favorite part about working in PR is it’s never boring,” Kim says. “There is always something exciting that we are doing for our community at United Way that we can communicate, market or pitch.”
