Hello, FPRA Gainesville!
I’m beyond excited to be serving as your chapter’s president this year. First off, I want to give a huge thank you to all of the members of FPRA Gainesville for entrusting me to be your president. 2021 has proven to be another difficult year and as things change and (hopefully) continue to improve, we will be monitoring the situation to make the best decisions to protect the health and safety of our members.
That being said, this year I want to bring back some fun and try to get back to doing what we love! If you were unable to attend the August monthly program, I unveiled this year’s theme: Saved by PR.
Through my theme, I want to reiterate how important our roles are at our companies, what valuable voices we have and what expert advice we provide. Saved by PR doesn’t just refer to crisis communications, it refers to the crises that never happened, it refers to all of the things that went smoothly at an organization because of PR, and finally, it refers to finding your place within an association of amazing people!
This year, I want to encourage you to get more involved with FPRA and with all of the opportunities available to you. Focus on developing your leadership potential by serving on a committee. Attend the monthly programs and networking events, attend PDS, participate in a professional development webinar, enter the Image Awards, or work towards achieving your APR or CPRC. All of these things are possible for you! Because if I can do it, I know you can too!
Thank you to our new board members for not only your confidence in me but for your commitment to providing our members with the best programs, professional development, and networking opportunities any chapter can offer.
Finally, thank you to Sarah Coulson, APR, and the outgoing board members for finishing the year strong!
See you at The Max!
Amy Azoulay, APR
2021-2022 FPRA Gainesville Chapter President
