I have been a member of FPRA for over 10 years. For the first half of those years, I was in the print production industry and my role didn’t involve public relations on a daily basis. When I joined Liquid Creative Studio in 2010 my focus shifted, and a primary portion of my job description involved PR and management of PR practitioners.
As time clicked along, I realized that I had to earn my APR if I was going to be the best practitioner and leader that I could be. Looking back I have to admit that I didn’t even realize how valuable the studying experience would be. My knowledge of public relations is infinitely improved because I committed to the APR process. I strongly recommend all members earn the APR designation.
