Happy Holidays Everyone!

I would like to take this opportunity to personally invite you to the FPRA Gainesville Chapter Happy Holidays Celebration on Thursday, December 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  A cash bar serving beer and wine will be open with dinner starting at 7 p.m.  The event takes place at Sweetwater Branch Inn, a venue that we have not visited in quite a while.  Sweetwater is well-known for its mystical holiday transformation.  We will present membership milestones and award the Member of the Year and Professional of the Year.  Whether you attend every year, or you haven’t attended in several, please join us for an evening of good times!  The cost is $30 for members and $35 for guests, and you can pay at the door or use Pay Pal by visiting our home page at www.fpragainesville.com .  Please RSVP by December 8.  Remember, this holiday event will take the place of our traditional monthly luncheon meeting.

While you are getting yourself into the holiday spirit, please remember that the Community Relations Committee is hosting a holiday toy drive to benefit the Children’s Home Society of Florida.  New, unwrapped toys will be accepted at the Holiday Celebration.  For more information, please contact Katie Jeffers.

As the year draws to a close, I would like to remind you to renew your membership if you have not already.  Also encourage your friends and co-workers to join our chapter of FPRA as well.  Now is a great time to do so!  Among the list of reasons, the membership directory will be printed in January, and you will want to make the roster!

Reflecting on the 2006 year for our chapter of FPRA, I am reminded of many accomplishments of which we should be proud.  We have maintained a healthy financial standing, boosted our APR numbers within the chapter, celebrated the win of “Outstanding Chapter of the Year” for the second time in a row, held successful events such as PDS and Image Awards, worked with several charitable organizations, continued beneficial relationships with local students, provided great programs for our monthly meetings, made our website more user friendly and popular, initiated Weekly E-News Bulletins and so much more!  I would like to thank all of you for your participation and continued support.

Here’s wishing you and yours a very merry holiday season filled with health, warmth and good cheer.  Hope to see you on December 14!

Warm Wishes~
