Apply for the Gainesville Chapter FPRA Non-Profit Membership Grant
The Gainesville Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) is pleased to offer the Membership Grant to a qualified professional from a local non-profit organization.

To apply for the grant, the professional must:
  • Meet state FPRA guidelines for professional membership. more>
  • Be employed by a non-profit organization.
  • Require financial assistance to cover the FPRA membership fee due to lack of financial support by his/her organization.
The FPRA Membership Grant covers:
  • $35 new member processing fee (if applicable)
  • $150 membership dues for one year
Any expenses involved in attending luncheons and events are the responsibility of the member.  The membership year for this grant is November 1, 2007 to October 31, 2008.  To apply, complete the grant application and the new member application (for new members) or the renewal form (for renewals).  If you did not receive your renewal form, please call 941.365.2135.

James Terhune Membership Scholarship
In honor of Jim Terhune's dedication to the Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) throughout his tenure as UF professor and an FPRA Gainesville Chapter president in 1985, the FPRA Gainesville Chapter Board of Directors established the James Terhune FPRA Membership Scholarship.  This one-time scholarship offered to a public relations professional who graduated from the University of Florida within the last five years.  If there are no other applications for the scholarship, it can be awarded to the same person more than once.

To apply for the scholarship, the recent graduate must:
  • Meet state FPRA guidelines for professional membership. more>
  • Have graduated from the University of Florida within the last five years.
  • Require financial assistance to cover the FPRA membership fee due to lack of financial support by his/her organization.
