CPRC 2005-2006
The credential of Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) is the second tier credential offered by the Florida Public Relations Association. The certification process was developed to recognize professional growth and achievement of senior members who already have earned the APR designation. Candidates for CPRC also must be a member of the Florida Public Relations Association and have a minimum of 10 years of professional practice in public relations.
The CPRC exam is administered throughout the year and consists of written and oral sections. The written section tests a candidate's knowledge through case history descriptors and evaluation. The oral component requires the candidate to provide a 30-minute presentation to a panel of evaluators. The purpose of the presentation is to allow a candidate the opportunity to demonstrate his or her knowledge and skills in offering public relations concepts and courses of action.
