Accreditation and Certification

The FPRA Gainesville chapter encourages its members to enhance the profession and their careers by acquiring and maintaining certifications as appropriate to their levels of experience in public relations.

Currently, two certifications are available:

Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) for candidates with five or more years of public relations experience. 

Certified Public Relations Counselor (CPRC) for candidates with a minimum of 10 years of public relations experience.

Maintaining Your Accreditation To maintain your Accreditation, you are required to accumulate points in continuing education, professionalism or public service within a three-year period. On the linked page you will find descriptions of qualifying activities or programs and the point allocation for each.
